Welcome Aboard Mariners Alike - Malaysia Rule The Waves

its hard to describe how a man could left everything he had on land and went out to sea...
its even harder to describe how bright the stars at night and how fresh the cool morning air when you are in the middle of the ocean...
the hardest thing is to describe how close you are to death and how god could took your life at any time...
come to sea and see for yourself...

GOD SPEED AND FAIR WINDS

come to sea and see for yourself

this blog is dedicated to mariners, navigators and seafarers alike, merchant or naval for others to had a glimpse of what we do and what we faced in the vast blue oceans.

the story of a watchkeeping officer - NineMikeCharlieHotelThree - 2012

entri sambung keje...

kapal kugiran...hahahhaa

got a call in the morning....its the main office in KL...and im asked to join my old janda...the MT Bunga Melati Satu....

i got tonnes of memories onboard that particular ship for she is my first ship i joined as cadet....she is the oldest Melati class chemical tanker....the one that takes me to the outside world....where i learn the "rukun navigasi"...place that i learned how to socialized with people of all ages....

a lot happened on Satu...

we experience heavy weather right away after leaving Rotterdam...where the engine cant cope up and were pushed back by the storm surge....should have taken a photo of position plotted on chart...it was madness...

on Satu also....we experienced the parting of our mooring lines....in Algeciras...6 lines parted during 3 days of port stays....the worst was on the 2nd day where the fwd breast parted...and the ship almost break away from the terminal....

haha..and i cant forget my kepala angin captain..a filipino Capt Ebora....crazy fella....

and oh...the same ship where we jammed ourselves with jamming sets available onboard....thanx to the captain....haha...dont know whether the drums...the lead guitar...the bass guitar is still onboard...i heard it is unusable...and nobody keeps em in good order...but that is rumours....cant trust em much....

much has come back from that days.....and now...joining the ship again...with the same crew members that i used to work with... will really bring back lots of memories....

a piece of history from NineMikeCharlieHotelThree.....
