makanan.... =P
when i came back from my shipboard tour few weeks back...i met my friends at my hometown...some of them i haven`t met for quite a long time...
knowing that i worked on a vessel...they directly thought that we had a sumptuous and succulent meals prepared by chefs on board our ship...
hahaha...sorry to dissapoint you guys...but we didn`t eat western food every day...this is not some luxury craft or a cruise line...so i am very2 sorry....
whatever meals we had onboard are the same that we had at home...fried rice..or mee goreng..kway teow goreng..with fried teloq mata..or lontong if our cook is from the state of Johore...will be served for breakfast...
if you are a bit americana..then you can make yourself a toasted bread with a wide selection of spreads...peanut butter..butter..planta...nutella...or susu pekat manis..or maybe planta taruk gula...ol skool style...
that is for breakfast....i haven`t gone to lunch and dinner....
basically...we eat just like the other Malaysian who work ashore...we have roti canai or other common Malaysian breakfast which can be found in mak cik senah stall or mamak stall near you.(FYI :roti canai onboard..???...this is not tebar one coz my company still cant afford to pay a mapley who can tebar roti canai or make teh tarik)...nasik putih tomyam campur..with fried chicken..ikan masak gulai or sambal..with ulam-ulaman for lunch...and again nasik putih with daging goreng or daging masak gulai..with some fried fishes or ikan masak sambal...for dinner....
we basically had our food the same like what you guys on land have...kami pn makan nasik campur jugak...so dont say that we eat western everyday...we eat only breads..this and that...ooh...were are not European..even they eat nasik when they had to stay onboard...and nasik sepinggan buleh habis....hahaha
so when your`e at some mamak stall..or what ever stall selling Malaysian cuisine...remember that we also had the same as yours....the only thing is what we had as breakfast..lunch or dinner make us a little bit closer to home....
lapaq weyh....
-come to sea and see for yourself-
